job: Research Intern gravitytank

gravitytank is seeking a Research Intern for our San Francisco office. We’re looking for the next generation of researchers who have endless curiosity about why people do what they do, a passion for inventive problem solving and a desire for creative expression.

As a Reseach Intern, you’ll help…

// define research objectives

// plan and execute contextual research

// analyze data for insights and implications

// create behavioral models, video highlights and other tools to bring insights to life

// communicate to our clients what is really meaningful to their customer

gravitytank’s internship program lets you dive in on most or all of these activities as you work alongside strategists and designers to solve some of our clients’ most difficult innovation challenges.

If you are…

// a recent graduate or currently enrolled in Master’s level program in related field

// fascinated by human behavior

// excited by the challenge of seeing how culture, context and business connect

// a person who thrives in a collaborative environment

// enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration

// comfortable with ambiguity yet oddly talented at bringing chaos to its knees

// super organized and able to juggle a lot of moving parts

and you have…

// a positive, can-do attitude

// an aptitude for finding patterns in large amounts of information

// an ability to communicate ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner

// experience shooting and editing video

// some familiarity with design research and its role in the design process

// and, just maybe, academic studies in a relevant field (anthropology, cultural studies, psychology, design, market research)

…then we want to hear from you.

The summer internship is for our San Francisco office location and will last 8 weeks. Start and end times are negotiable.

What we offer…

// A culture of collaboration and trust

// Diversely talented, passionate, professional colleagues who challenge and inspire

// Daily snacks, coffee, tea, and unlimited LaCroix
