The Humanities Research Centre brings together researchers in English, History, Film and Performance, and performed well in the last REF exercise in 2014.
As an Impact Researcher you will support the impact aspects of current english research projects which are likely to be developed as REF 2020 Impact Case Studies. These projects may include work in creative writing, literature or language. You will support ongoing impact and pro-actively develop and expand our range of impact activity, including through evaluation and analysis of what has been achieved and the planning of new initiatives. This is an ideal post in which to develop further your expertise in the increasingly important areas of public engagement with research and in the support, creation and recording of measurable impact. You will have a degree in english, experience of supporting, evaluating and developing impact, and experience of working with academic researchers on impact projects. You will also have a good understanding of the REF definitions, protocols and processes applying to research impact in panel D. Experience and knowledge of web-site design and experience of using social media and a PhD in english is desirable.
